Profile

A school-girl prodigy, Mignon hit headlines when she slammed a double-century in a pro40 game at the age of 12. Consistent performances with the bat followed in U-14s and U-16s and South Africa's selectors rewarded her a national contract and she came into the side as a replacement for injured captain Shandre Fritz in 2007.

She stamped her authority in her maiden outing with an unbeaten 55 against Pakistan. In the following year, Mignon and Johmari Logtenberg strung together a 224-run record partnership for South Africa against Netherlands. In 2011, Mignon was named the skipper and South Africa blossomed under her leadership reaching T20 World Cup semis in 2014 and accomplished maiden series wins over India and Bangladesh. Two years later, she quit captaincy to concentrate on her batting.
