Sayed Shirzad is a 24-year old left-arm pacer who hails from Afghanistan. Shirzad made his T20I debut against Oman in 2015 and in his first ever international match the youngster claimed three wickets and bowled at an economy of less than 6 in the T20I match - Afghanistan won the match by 27 runs. Shirzad was one of the consistent performers during Afghanistan Premier League, 2018 as he got wickets of some big internationals during the course of the tournament; he was also the leading wicket-taker for Kandahar Knights (16 wickets). Shirzad was a part of Afghanistan's Test squad against India but unfortunately didn't get a chance to represent his country in their first ever Test match. He's much more effective in the shorter formats and that's where he can make a mark in days ahead. Afghanistan have a very good bowling attack and Shirzad has a chance to be one of their premier pacers in near future. Can he? Only time has got all the answers.
